Question: It is noted that the AS 4343 Hazard classification of compressed air increase in value should the temperature exceeds 120*C. What controls do we need to implement to manage the safe operation of our air compressor.

Question: Currently, to access the inside of our vessel, it is necessary to undo a bolted flange and then separate sections. We are trying to work out if it will be possible to achieve a change by simplifying opening/closing the pressure vessel, in the easiest way possible. We would like a more convenient way to accomplish this, and have suggested simply attaching toggle clamps to the existing flange. We do not want to make any major modifications (cutting, welding etc.) to the vessel or the existing flange, and want to avoid having to recertify the vessel. We want to ask, what changes would require us to recertify the pressure vessel? Even if it would be possible and safe to simply add a quick release mechanism, if the vessel would require retesting. In your opinion, do you believe this will be possible?

Question: In terms of Safety Valve certification to AS1271 classification, Class A and Class B valves, what is the difference between these?

Question: It is our understanding that our steam piping, AS4343 Hazard Level A & B is required, in terms of AS3788, to be inspected by a third party inspection body. What should we have available and do prior to the inspection.

Question: Does my boiler blowdown vessel need to be registered with the statutory authority? The vessel that we have has a data plate with AS 4343 Haz B marked on it, this vessel is vented to atmosphere. Vessel has a design pressure of 700 kPa and a fully flooded volume of 1500 litres.

Question: Does my heritage traction engine need to be registered with Work Safe.
